My fingers are raw with knitting lovely pieces for orders to my two etsy shops. I have decided as I get married three weeks on Saturday to take some time out and design some lovely new patterns. I can't wait to get creative again instead of knitting the same old thing over and over.
As we have had a pretty awful summer here in Northern England I am really spending some time thinking about how to design items that can have a place in both summer and winter wardrobes. Something I think I will put a little thought into over the next couple of weeks and develop after the nuptuals in the European sun!

New Scarf for the store

It's been so long since my last post I haven't had chance to add my lastest addition to the store. I beautiful long Green Scarf. I designed it for myself to get me through the very cold weather we had a the beginning of the year and have had loads of complements on it so far.
It being July I haven't worn it in a while, but am beginning to think it would make a great Christmas present! Early I know but it's good to be prepared.

Getting somewhere
I spent all last week worrying because I seemed to be getting nowhere with any of my projects. I had a scarf, a jumper, a pair of gloves and a sewing project on the go all at once. However, I have had a breakthrough today. The scarf is nearly finished and ready to go in my etsy shop.
It's made from a dusky pink wool and I am so proud of it. It's the first time I have really experimented with cabling and I can't wait to show you how it's worked out. I think I will post the pattern when it's ready (and I have time to sit down and write it).

Black Crochetted Fan Scarf

I love this scarf. I wear it all the time to bring a little bit of sophistication to my working day. This scarf made from 100% wool and is now for sale at my etsy shop and I can customise it for you if you would like the design in a different colour or perhaps would like a little sparkle or beading.
